Xidium - 'The Reckoning'...

Surrounded in blue hellfire, wielding a range of dark magic power and with wings made of liquid acid, Xidium stood out on his own as a deadly enemy to all who crossed him.
Second-in-command of the demon armies during the Dragon/Demon War, Xidium answered only to Gorndaccon but proved his worth as a dangerous warrior, a skilled tactician and an evilly talented 'scientist' - using his magic and control over genetics to help create various mutants including the 'Furies'. One race of creatures he created himself was a dangerous breed of monsters known as the 'Nightshades' - demons but with their power been comprised of both Hell's energies and cosmic power from 'the Dark Dimension.


In battle, Xidium was sadistic, ruthless and bayed for blood. Not afraid to jump into intense frays himself, Xidium became feared by the dragon warriors who survived his frenzied rage - earning him the nickname 'The Reckoning'.
He was responsible for many of the worst attacks against the dragons and their allies - including a infamous and horrifying attack on Kindred Springs in Dragonia - a place where mother dragons who were pregnant or had just given birth would stay to look after their offspring for a certain period of time. The attack resulted in a massacre, as hundreds of mothers and their children (both unborn and newborn) were mercilessly slaughtered.
Needless to say, even Xidium couldn't quell the determination of the dragons and their allies. Furiously he and his minions fought, but bit by bit they were pushed back.
Xidium's final battle came during another attempted capture of the Armageddon Zone after managing to breach its defenses - the chance of victory providing the demons with a strong foothold and only one step away from Dragonia.
During the battle, three dragon warriors - BlackDragonScars and his friends Polar and Scorpianna - managed to sneak aboard Xidium's personal 'transport'. Sneaking and fighting their way through the demons who guarded it, they soon came face to face with Gorndaccon's field marshal and engaged him in contact.


However, the stories about Xidium's skills and power were no lie, and the trio soon fought themselves fighting for survival against a superior foe. Polar and Scorpianna were both brought down by a combination of been outmatched and been hit by the dark magic acid from Xidium's wings - leaving BlackDragonScars to struggle on his own.
It was a battle that, on paper, Xidium should have finished easily. However, Black was no ordinary Dragon. Hearing the voice of his Master praising him, combined with his determination not to give up, unlocked a great power deep within.
His eyes glowing with heavenly light, Black summoned up otherworldly power as his body began to glow with a golden aura. Accessing his inner strength, Black evened out the fight and matched Xidium's every move.
In an attempt to aid him, Polar and Scorpianna - although injured - passed on some of their energies to Black. It was well used, as Black unleashed a variety of divine magic attacks in multicolored streams of fire and lightning. As Xidium tried to flee, Black unleashed his final attack - thinking of everything he loved, he opening up his heart and hit Xidium at point blank range with a beam of positive energy.
The shockwave of the blast shook the battlefield, killing hundreds of the demon's army in the process as the positive energy outmatched their negative power. The positive energy also had a beneficial effect on Polar and Scorpianna - replenishing their energy and healing them both of their injuries.


The final attack hadn't killed Xidium, but had rendered him unable to fight back. Before Black could finish him off, Master Takeda Pyronan - the mentor of the trio - entered the room and locked up Xidium in chains, with the plan of taking him prisoner and interrogate him to find out the rest of Gorndaccon's plans and any other useful information.
Although Black and his friends wanted to kill Xidium for all the deaths he had caused, Black realized that finding out the demon's plans was more beneficial as it could bring the war to a successful end.
The plan proved successful. Due to Xidium's own gloating nature, the dragons found out about all the demon's plans - allowing them to bring down their enemies before Master Leo of Dragonia engaged and defeated Gorndaccon. Upon sealing him away, the war was finally over.
With the war done, the aftermath including cleaning up the damage and rebuilding as well as deciding the fates of the P.O.W's. Had the United Council had their way, Xidium would have been put to death for his crimes.
But a unseen event transpired that threw a spanner in the works.


The 'Shadow Cloud' Stormtroopers ( fav.me/d79izu3 ) - an intergalactic police force - arrived on Earth and demanded that Xidium be given to them for trial. The reason being is that some of Xidium's attacks had been directed at the Xelziaks (the dragon's allies). Although they failed, the interplanetary crime ruling remained.
Despite the United Council's attempts to stop the Shadow Cloud interfering in their affairs, the 'higher intergalactic authorities' had the last word and officially stated the Shadow Cloud could take Xidium to be tried - but at the same time agreed that members of the United Council could attend the trial.
Despite their anger, the Dragons complied and let Xidium be taken away. At his trial, Xidium unsurprisingly was found guilty but - instead of been put to death - was sentenced to be imprisoned for the rest of his life. For the dragons and their allies, it was a bittersweet victory, with the real reason that the Shadow Cloud just wanting to assert their authority been known by all. This incident would be the start of the political conflicts between Earth's authorities and the Shadow Cloud, that would eventually be settled many years later.


Since the war and his sentencing, Xidium has remained at the prison - located on the lowest level of the Asylum due to his dangerous nature. His body has slowly began to fall apart due to age and not been able to use his demon powers. Although capable of transferring his soul to another body, Xidium needs a body that will hold his raging energies.
Despite not been able to use his powers  to escape from the prison, Xidium will be getting a visit from an unexpected stranger with a grand task for him to do...
